About the position

The Quality Inspector position at Aerotek is focused on ensuring timely shipment of customer orders by preventing discrepancies and identifying potential bottlenecks in the production process. The role involves inspecting parts according to specifications, following defined procedures, and providing feedback to improve quality control processes. The inspector will also manage workload and may need to work overtime to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts to specifications based on prints and drawings.
• Follow defined inspection procedures and use calibrated equipment.
• Review new order drawings to create in-process inspection plans and inspection plans for details that cannot be inspected on the shop floor.
• Provide critical feedback to the Lead Quality Inspector and Project Manager.
• Understand workload and adjust it accordingly.
• Plan to work overtime as directed by the Lead Quality Inspector to meet customer delivery schedules.

Requirements

• CNC setup experience.
• Proficient in inspection techniques.
• Ability to assist machinists in standard inspection procedures.
• Experience in ensuring workflow through quality control.
• Time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
• Familiarity with the SRIC process for on-time delivery.
• Ability to make improvement recommendations.
