About the position

The Quality Inspector at CRC-Evans Pipeline International is responsible for ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality standards. This role involves inspecting incoming materials, in-process parts, and final products, as well as maintaining documentation and records related to quality assurance. The Quality Inspector collaborates with various departments to identify process improvements and uphold safety and health standards in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of quality on incoming material, in process parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, equipment, processes and completed products.
• Maintain inspection results, transaction history and product records in the appropriate database systems.
• Maintain history sheet documentation on equipment prior to dispatch to the customer.
• Track, analyze, and report on non-conformances in materials, parts, products, sub-assemblies, and/or assemblies.
• Responsible for process and equipment calibration maintenance, data and records relating to calibration and metrology.
• Proactively identify process improvements.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Keep equipment operating by following operational instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
• Support all quality measures and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of experience in QA/QC field or equivalent
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and precision measuring tool use
• Experience with nondestructive testing techniques, welding, assembly, and machine operation
• Ability to operate equipment and/or motorized vehicles under DOT requirements
• 2-year technical degree in QA/QC field preferred
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred
• Prior SAP experience preferred
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to take direction and work independently
