About the position

The Quality Inspector at Precision Resource is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured products through rigorous inspection and testing processes. This role involves evaluating, measuring, and documenting the quality of incoming, in-process, and final products, while also addressing any non-conformance issues. The position requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and responsibility in quality control operations.

Responsibilities

• Verify product conformance to company and customer requirements including manufacturing plans and specifications.
• Perform inspection and testing of in-process, first-piece, last-piece, and final inspection of finished products and raw materials.
• Interact effectively with production operators and supervisors to troubleshoot in-process products.
• Identify and notify production of non-conformance or process-related problems.
• Document all inspections and tests performed using legible handwriting/printing.
• Document non-conformances and communicate them to Quality Control (QC).
• Maintain QC Inspection logs and ensure their accuracy.
• Keep a neat and orderly work area and maintain cleanliness in QC areas after use.
• Identify raw material conditions by collecting samples and conducting inspections.
• Conduct re-inspections to determine acceptability of rework.
• Document finished product status by recording inspection and test data.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to five years of quality inspection experience in a metal stamping or machining manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments including calipers, gauges, and micrometers, as well as advanced measurement equipment (CMM).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by ITAR.
