About the position

JMC Aviation is seeking Quality Inspectors to join their team in Opa-Locka, FL, as part of a permanent, full-time role. This position is integral to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of quality in the aviation industry. The Quality Inspector will coordinate inspection activities in accordance with computer tracking maintenance programs such as CAMPS and AVTRAC. The role involves performing detailed inspections of aircraft, engines, parts, and components using precision tools and equipment, ensuring that all inspections meet applicable regulatory standards. Upon receiving new, repaired, or rebuilt parts and components, the Quality Inspector will conduct thorough inspections to check for physical damage, conformity, and accurate counts. It is essential that all work packages, including orders and forms, are documented accurately, and that records of arrival, maintenance, and corrective actions are maintained. The Quality Inspector will also be responsible for ensuring that all specialized customer and regulatory paperwork is complete and that necessary approvals have been obtained. In addition to inspection duties, the Quality Inspector will research aircraft drawings and technical data to support their inspection activities. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License, have a minimum of three years of aircraft maintenance experience, and at least two years of experience in corporate or commercial jet environments. Candidates should also own a basic set of hand tools and demonstrate the ability to manage inventory and control of tools. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inspection activities in compliance with computer tracking maintenance programs (i.e. CAMPS, AVTRAC).
  • Perform inspections of aircraft, engines, parts, and components using precision tools and equipment in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect all new, repaired, and rebuilt parts/components for evidence of physical damage, count, and conformity upon receipt.
  • Document all work packages (orders and forms) accurately, including records of arrival, maintenance, and corrective actions performed.
  • Ensure completion of specialized customer and regulatory paperwork (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) and obtain required approvals.
  • Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, ENICO, EO, DCN).

Requirements

  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Minimum 3 years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of corporate/commercial jet experience.
  • Basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools.
  • Right to work in the US.
