About the position
The Quality Inspector position involves performing inspections on parts both in-house and from customers or suppliers, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards. The role requires a basic understanding of mechanical inspection and the ability to communicate findings effectively with production supervisors. The inspector will also be responsible for data entry and maintaining inspection records.
Responsibilities
- Perform floor inspections on parts in-house and from customers/suppliers according to procedures and inspection guides.
- Input and maintain inspection data into the Inspection Process Sheet.
- Issue MRBs through the ERP System for non-conforming products found during inspections.
- Communicate non-conformance findings with Shift Production Supervisors.
- Provide explanations of VIC to operators on the production floor.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical inspection.
- Ability to read prints and pull specific information such as revision level, print/part number, tolerance block, and dimensions.
- Basic computer knowledge, particularly in using Excel spreadsheets for data entry and file management.
- Ability to differentiate colors and utilize samples or color chips.
