The Quality Lab Technician role at Ascend Staffing involves performing technical analysis of HVAC components, developing testing methods, and managing the quality lab operations. Responsibilities
- Perform technical analysis of field return components.
- Design and develop new testing methods as needed.
- Capture and document analysis results to share with the technical team.
- Organize and manage day-to-day operations of the quality lab to ensure efficient handling of parts returns and testing.
- Operate various HVAC, mechanical, and electrical tools to test components.
- Maintain lab safety standards and ensure safe working conditions.
- Perform repairs and rework on HVAC equipment as necessary.
- Ensure robust operating procedures for field return materials, testing, and tools maintenance.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in HVAC installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with HVAC/VRF/VRV systems.
- Strong understanding of testing methods and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening.
