About the position

The Quality Laboratory Technician position at Dallas Plastics Corp involves ensuring the quality and safety of production processes by inspecting, testing, and maintaining equipment and materials. The role is crucial for supporting the production process and achieving the company's business goals and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to repair, maintain, and install machines, tools, and equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance in conjunction with maintaining production equipment during production.
• Review work orders, prioritize them, and perform the work in a professional manner.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations of repair.
• Perform simple machinist skills for fabricating parts as needed.
• Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and testing and adjusting machines.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial blown film extrusion experience desired.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with blown film extrusion processes.
