About the position

The Quality Line Auditor performs in-line quality audits on scheduled jobs (Extrusion, Injection, Fabrication, etc.) in accordance with established procedures and guidelines per the customer's specific part requirements. Assist with receiving inspection and help maintain the quality management system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-line audits on parts per the directions listed on part specific inspections during production.
  • Conduct visual inspections to check for defects.
  • Measure required dimensions (diameters, lengths, widths, etc.).
  • Perform specialized tests as required (flex, breakage, and flatness).
  • Record results as found.
  • Reject product that does not meet customer's requirements following a defined nonconforming process.
  • Identify the status of containers (QA Approved).
  • Immediately notify the Quality Control Manager and Shift Supervisor of any quality problems.
  • Have flexibility to perform other tasks as required by the Quality Control Manager.
  • Ensure the Quality Management System requirements are met.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Munsel Color Test or equivalent.
  • Basic gage usage.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Outlook preferred).
  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
  • Ability to work in a variety of roles.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Quality Auditor experience in a manufacturing setting required.
  • ISO 9001 certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
