About the position

The Quality Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of programs through data collection, analysis, and the development of quality improvement tools. This role involves collaboration with staff, research on program rules, and the interpretation of guidelines into actionable processes. The specialist will also chair the Safety Committee and manage various quality-related projects under the supervision of the QM Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure program compliance and quality.
  • Conduct data collection, surveys, and analysis to track program performance.
  • Research assigned projects and design quality improvement tools.
  • Serve as the Chair of the Safety Committee and oversee safety programs.
  • Write clear and concise reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Identify problems and implement solutions to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws related to program regulations.
  • Skilled in advanced business and technical writing.
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation of complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of HHSC Texas Resilience & Recovery and Cerner systems.
  • Bilingual skills.
