About the position

The Quality Manager at Superior Metals Manufacturing is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality processes and practices within the business management system. This role aims to achieve the highest quality standards, minimize product defects, and integrate all quality functions into a cohesive system that supports manufacturing operations. The Quality Manager will lead the Quality and Laboratory departments, develop quality programs, and ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and refine processes for effective internal auditing, process control, and change management.
• Report on the performance of the business management system and identify areas for growth.
• Cultivate a customer-centric culture ensuring their needs are met with excellence.
• Safeguard the integrity of the management system through process and product changes.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures that comply with quality standards (AS9100, ISO17025, Nadcap).
• Facilitate training and certification programs for employees in quality assurance.
• Collaborate with key customers on quality issues and audits.
• Provide guidance and support to the Quality and Laboratory departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of manufacturing quality leadership experience, or an associate's degree with 10-15 years of experience.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB), or Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) preferred but not required.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, customer specifications, and procedure manuals.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality techniques.
