About the position

The Quality Manager will oversee and enhance quality assurance processes within American Converters, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. This role is essential for maintaining product integrity and meeting regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and HACCP guidelines to guarantee product safety and quality.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement within production processes.
  • Analyze data from quality control tests to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in project management initiatives aimed at improving product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality assurance practices, emphasizing the importance of QA/QC protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics for management review, providing insights into performance against established standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a Quality Manager role or similar position within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and QA/QC methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of successful implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
