About the position

The Quality Manager at MSI Express is responsible for leading the quality department to ensure the safety, performance, and quality of products produced in the manufacturing facility. This role involves developing and maintaining policies and procedures that guarantee high levels of quality and customer satisfaction, while fostering a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and training to the plant in areas such as quality, food safety, plant safety sanitation, good manufacturing practices, and customer service.
• Maintain continuous communication with all departments to address production priorities and shortfalls in a timely manner.
• Establish and review HACCP programs.
• Conduct customer, regulatory, and in-house audits.
• Monitor plant performance and develop/implement action plans to address areas of concern.
• Maintain a clear understanding of customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain operational quality standards, batch sheets, and specification sheets.
• Ensure adherence to all customer quality policies and procedures as stated in the customer's manuals.
• Create a positive working environment that supports continuous improvement and respects every individual.
• Adhere to all regulatory rules and regulations to meet food safety and product performance standards.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum experience in food manufacturing: 1 year (preferred).
• Essential skills in leadership, budget management, operations management, project management, vendor/contract management, metric management, and communication/people skills.
