About the position

The Quality Manager at McCarthy Building Companies is responsible for supporting the Quality Director in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies and procedures across the region. This role involves collaborating with project teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the construction process, from preparation to project close-out and warranty activities. The Quality Manager serves as a resource of expertise and a mentor to project teams, fostering accountability and pride in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project site-specific quality plans, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with project teams.
  • Identify and document key project quality challenges during site visits and facilitate on-site testing and inspections.
  • Assist in managing building opensource coordinators and administer building enclosure coordination and MEP programs.
  • Participate in project quality evaluations and the 'Lessons Learned' process to implement quality best practices.
  • Provide coaching and troubleshooting for quality issues on job sites and assist in the reporting process.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of building experience
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Experience managing and directing the testing and inspecting of work
  • Experience working with project management for successful project completion
  • Understanding of Quality and Lean principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Blue Beam, and Revu
