About the position

The Quality Manager at Vault Pressure Control is responsible for providing leadership in quality assurance by developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system (QMS) that complies with industry regulations and standards. This role involves leading quality audits, supporting defect assessments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality within the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide QA leadership by developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality system and processes that comply with industry regulations and standards (API, ISO, etc.).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures, work instructions, and forms necessary to support the compliance and continuous improvement of the quality management system (QMS).
  • Lead and support quality audits designed to strengthen and validate the company's quality programs necessary to maintain the organization's applicable product licenses.
  • Lead, guide, and support defect and issue response assessments using root cause analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and support vendor qualifications and reevaluations.
  • Audit, train, and mentor VPC branch teams on quality processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish, promote, and build organizational process consistency and improve overall manufacturing, repair, and service quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving product/service quality, reducing waste, lowering costs, or improving customer satisfaction.
  • Implement KPIs, goals, targets, objectives, and strategies relevant to Quality Control of internal and supplier processes.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality standards, tools, and techniques, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience with QMS system management and development.
  • Understanding and experience applying industry standards like ISO9001, API Q1 and API 6A.
  • Experience conducting and leading quality audits.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity and ability to lead risk assessments with tools (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP) and root cause analysis methods (e.g., The 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Charts).
  • Experience conducting and leading vendor assessments, qualifications, and defect corrections.
