About the position

The Quality Microbiology Intern at Lonza Biologics Inc. will participate in a 12-week summer internship program designed to immerse candidates in the culture and operations of the Lonza Portsmouth facility. The intern will learn to perform microbial testing in the lab and train on environmental monitoring techniques in manufacturing and utility areas. This role is intended for students who are currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field and are looking to gain practical experience in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbial testing in the laboratory.
• Train on environmental monitoring techniques in manufacturing and utility areas.
• Raise questions on tasks or issues when clarification or greater technical expertise is required.

Requirements

• Completion of junior year (typically 90 credits) towards a B.S. degree in a Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering related degree program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (out of 4) required.
• Must currently be enrolled in BS or MS Academic Program.
• Must be available to begin the Internship on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
