About the position

The Project Engineer will lead the management of the Ignition Platform within the Quality Mission Assurance Tools & Technology Team at Raytheon. This role involves overseeing project development, strategic planning, budgeting, and ensuring the delivery of quality solutions to meet the needs of the Quality and Mission Assurance Organization. The position requires collaboration with various teams and stakeholders, providing training, managing project scope, and preparing presentations for leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Ignition development activities as the Project Engineer, partnering with various Operations Development Teams.
  • Assist with strategic planning, prioritizing, and budgeting of simultaneous projects.
  • Provide required training to stakeholders when Applications / Metrics are delivered.
  • Manage project scope, ensuring it meets agreed commitments.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and resolve them proactively.
  • Prepare presentations reporting project status to leadership teams and customers.
  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of data in applications, reports, and metrics.
  • Engage in special projects to support the Quality and Mission Assurance Organization.
  • Collaborate with Digital Business Operations Agile Teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience in project management.
  • Extended experience with budgets and forecast planning.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Processes.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity management.
  • Knowledge of Ignition and EtQ.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality tools and processes (LPA, AS9100, FAI, Net Inspect, APQP).
  • Experience as a change agent with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Acumen for Earned Value management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
