About the position

The Project Engineer will lead the management of the Ignition Platform within the Quality Mission Assurance Tools & Technology Team at Raytheon. This role involves overseeing project development, managing budgets, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The position requires collaboration with various teams to deliver solutions that enhance mission assurance capabilities, while also providing training and support to users of the applications and metrics developed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Ignition development activities as the Project Engineer, partnering with various Operations Development Teams from requirements gathering to solution delivery.
  • Assist with strategic planning, prioritizing, and budgeting of simultaneous projects with multiple customers.
  • Provide required training to stakeholders and support during the delivery of Applications / Metrics.
  • Manage project scope, ensuring it meets agreed commitments and handling change requests.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, resolving them proactively.
  • Prepare presentations reporting project status to leadership teams and customers.
  • Maintain the quality and accuracy of data in applications, reports, and metrics by collaborating with the Digital Technology team and other functional representatives.
  • Engage in special projects to support the Quality and Mission Assurance Organization.
  • Collaborate with Digital Business Operations Agile Teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Extended working experience in Project Management.
  • Extended working experience with budgets and forecast planning.
  • Extended working experience using at least one of the following Microsoft Office Applications: Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Processes.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity management.
  • Knowledge of Ignition and EtQ is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality tools and processes (LPA, AS9100, FAI, Net Inspect, APQP).
  • Demonstrated experience as a change agent, able to energize and influence across all levels.
  • Keen eye for opportunities to promote Quality 4.0.
  • Acumen for Earned Value management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively execute multiple active projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
