About the position

As a Quality Operations Specialist at Bell Textron, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of Flight Operations through your participation in the 525 Conformity Inspections efforts. This position involves supporting both Type Certificate (TC) and Post TC projects, as well as maintaining and tracking inspection records for Flight Test aircraft. You will be responsible for updating aircraft inspection processes and procedures utilized in the Flight Test environment and the Repair Station, ensuring that all operations adhere to regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include participating in the ongoing efforts to prepare and ensure readiness for the V280 EMD aircraft. You will be assigned to Quality Operations, focusing on Flight Test inspection planning activities, which will require you to resolve issues related to CAMS and Electronic Workbook problems that are integral to the 525 Conformities. Additionally, you will complete installation and detail (part) conformities by conducting thorough research through SAP/ENOVIA and vendor documentation, which includes inspection records, material certifications, and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs). In this role, you will interface with suppliers and internal facilities to facilitate the reception of accurate component conformity documentation. You will also support documentation review and troubleshooting in direct support of Configuration Management activities for the 525. Your contributions will extend to supporting Type Certificate and Production Certificate activities by liaising with the Flight Inspection team and the Manufacturing & Maintenance Unit Members of the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA). Furthermore, you will assist in reviewing applicable Quality policies and procedures and support Repair Station Part 145 internal audits as requested. Regular reporting and status updates will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of progress and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the 525 Conformity Inspections efforts supporting TC and Post TC projects.
  • Maintain and track inspection records for Flight Test aircraft.
  • Update aircraft inspection processes and procedures used in the Flight Test environment and Repair Station.
  • Support preparation and readiness for the V280 EMD aircraft.
  • Resolve CAMS and Electronic Workbook problems integral to 525 Conformities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required with at least 3 years of related experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3 years' direct experience in support of FAA Aircraft Type Certification.
  • At least 3 years' experience in direct support of the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) and a Manufacturing and Maintenance Unit Member (MMUM).
  • Experience working in experimental Aircraft Maintenance Environments.
  • Familiarity with AS9100D Quality Management System requirements.
  • Proficient in SAP, CAMS, CAFTA, CATIA, Enovia, and Electronic Workbook (EWBI).
  • Proficient in working Request for Conformities (RFCs), the completion of FAA Form 8130-9s, Part and Install Conformities.
