About the position

The Quality Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with quality operations and customer contractual requirements. This position focuses on First Article Inspection Planning, creating Quality Inspection Instructions, and coordinating activities with various teams to maintain high-quality standards in production processes.

Responsibilities

• Creation of Quality Inspection Instructions, identifying appropriate inspection placement within planning routes.
• Management of first articles in accordance with AS9100/AS9102 and company policies.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Quality Engineering, Inspection, Planning, engineering, and leadership.
• Extraction and interpretation of complex models for Catia V6 & 3DX for Advanced Quality Planning Activities.
• Navigation of MES systems: CAMS, SAP ECC, SAP PEO.
• Maintenance of compliance in configuration management through audits, evaluations, and tracking.
• Decision-making based on engineering, contract, and procedural requirements.
• Development of compliant solutions independently as per policies and procedures.
• Execution of other duties and projects as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Associate's college degree or relevant experience and technical training considered in lieu of degree.
• Quality engineering/Quality planning experience is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
• Experience with First Article Inspection Planning in accordance with AS9102 is essential.
• Advanced GD&T experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Aerospace quality experience preferred.
• Familiarity with machine parts and gear manufacturing and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with advanced composite part manufacturing and inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Access, Word, and Excel).
