About the position

The Quality Operations Support Specialist - Swing position at our leading technology company involves providing essential support for our manufactured test equipment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of precision milled and turned sub-miniature high-frequency electronic parts. This position requires a strong background in quality operations, with a focus on mechanical measurement and inspection processes. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in a similar role and will be expected to work within a family-oriented culture that values teamwork and collaboration. In this role, the Quality Operations Support Specialist will manage the mechanical measurement processes, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications for functionality and accuracy. The responsibilities include performing inspections of sub-assemblies and final assemblies, interpreting manufacturing drawings and diagrams, and maintaining accurate records and databases. The candidate will work closely with technicians and NPI Engineers to clarify, analyze, develop, and implement solutions to technical problems of limited scope and complexity. The position is structured around clearly defined objectives, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute consistently to team delivery goals while adhering to established processes. This role is crucial for maintaining high workmanship standards and delivering on commitments, ensuring that the company continues to meet its quality assurance goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical measurement of precision milled and turned sub-miniature high-frequency electronic parts to ensure functionality and accuracy.
  • Perform inspection of sub-assemblies or final assemblies of our products.
  • Interpret prints, manufacturing drawings, and/or diagrams in approving or rejecting in-process or final assemblies.
  • Maintain records and/or databases.
  • Clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting technicians and NPI Engineers.
  • Work with clearly defined objectives.
  • Solve technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Provide consistent, solid contributions to team delivery goals.
  • Adhere to established processes and is responsible for achieving established team goals.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Quality Operations Support Specialist.
  • College education, and/or specialized training/certification.
  • Strong Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) background, and ability to read blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical metrology hand tool usage.
  • Experience using automated software platforms is a plus.
  • Strong PC (MS Windows/Office) skills are a must.
  • Experience with coordinate measuring machine and optical surface profilers preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate electronic and mechanical competence.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of business ethics.
  • Exercise good discretion in the use of time and other resources.
  • Maintain high workmanship standards and deliver on commitments.
