About the position

The Quality Outcomes Analyst 2 position is a critical role within the healthcare operations team, primarily focused on collecting and analyzing data from electronic medical records for submission to various national, federal, and state registries. This role involves daily communication regarding quality report issues and the creation of feedback reports that are reviewed monthly by providers and leadership. The analyst will work closely with physician and management leadership to identify and coordinate performance improvement efforts based on outcomes reporting. A thorough understanding of quality measure components is essential, as the analyst will respond to requests for information that include clinical interpretation of data element definitions, the data submission process, data quality, and the interpretation of comparative institutional reports. Additionally, the analyst will utilize outcome reports for quality measurement and improvement, developing training and providing education to staff, departments, and physicians to enhance performance on clinical quality indicators. The role also requires ensuring that abstracted clinical data is valid, reliable, and accessible in a timely manner while maintaining information system security and patient confidentiality. Meeting deadlines for data abstraction and submission, as established by internal expectations and external regulations, is a key responsibility of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Collects data through electronic medical records for data submission to various national/federal/state registries.
  • Communicates daily quality report issues.
  • Assists Service Line Coordinators by providing feedback reports for providers and leadership to review monthly.
  • Works with physician and management leadership to identify and coordinate performance improvement efforts based on outcomes reporting.
  • Identifies potential products/services and follows up with department directors to assist in the implementation of new programs.
  • Demonstrates a consistent level of performance and maintains progress on multiple projects regularly.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of data gathering and has a working knowledge of computer operations to analyze and evaluate data.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy consistently, conveying accurate and timely information to leadership.
  • Participates in the evaluation of improving performance on clinical quality indicators to staff, departments, and physicians.
  • Analyzes statistical data and meets deadlines for abstraction and submission of data as established by internal expectations and external regulations.
  • Strives to make good use of time and seeks out work that needs to be done, always using time to departmental advantage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare setting is required.
