The Quality Outcomes Analyst is a pivotal role within the MBH Administrative Costs-Tau Center located in Baton Rouge, LA. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing and analyzing data, including patient charts and databases, to identify opportunities for operational and medical staff improvement. The Quality Outcomes Analyst plays a crucial role in monitoring compliance with federal, state, and JCAHO regulatory agency requirements as they pertain to Performance Improvement. This role requires collaboration with hospital staff, senior leadership, and physicians to facilitate functions that necessitate measurement and data analysis. In the realm of data review and program effectiveness analysis, the Quality Outcomes Analyst performs essential functions related to performance improvement, focusing on core measures, medical staff quality, and both internal and external quality reviews. This includes conducting root cause analyses and designing efficient processes to achieve desired outcomes. The analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation, planning for, and collecting patient data related to clinical outcomes, and performing data analysis to evaluate clinical outcomes data. Additionally, the role involves gathering data on safety and performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness, utilizing performance improvement methodologies to promote evidence-based practices and patient safety initiatives. The Quality Outcomes Analyst also evaluates patient care data to ensure compliance with clinical practice guidelines, organizational standards, and regulatory/accreditation bodies. This includes leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Root Cause Investigation (RCI), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) teams as directed. The analyst is responsible for coordinating and submitting data to external vendors, including core measures and hospital association initiatives, while continuously analyzing this data to ensure integrity and identify opportunities for improvement. The role requires preparing and reporting actionable outcomes to appropriate clinical and medical staff leadership, participating in key quality and patient safety committees, and promoting a culture of safety and improvement within the organization.
