About the position
The Quality Specialist at Builders FirstSource is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured goods in the Indirect Truss Shop. This role involves inspecting materials and finished products for defects, maintaining production and quality records, and investigating any quality issues to identify root causes. The position is crucial in upholding the company's standards and ensuring compliance with manufacturing codes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality of manufactured goods.
- Inspect goods as they are finished.
- Examine materials from suppliers before sending them to the production line.
- Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Perform quick visual inspections.
- Test, measure, and analyze products.
- Order materials as needed.
- Ensure the company meets standard codes in the manufacturing process.
- Record pass/fail grades of products.
- Produce detailed reports as necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
