About the position

The Quality Specialist will support quality functions for in-space propulsion products, ensuring compliance with established quality standards and industry requirements. This role involves monitoring processes, inspecting materials and products, and proposing improvements to achieve zero defects. The position is full-time and based in Boston, MA, available for immediate filling.

Responsibilities

• Incoming material and component inspection and test
• In-process assembly inspection and test
• Review and analysis of inspection and test data
• Creation of quality problem records - driving and facilitating review and disposition approval
• Assist in problem solving: root cause analysis and corrective action
• Audit verification of corrective actions
• Creation of quality management system documentation, inspection plans and instructions, quality SOPs.

Requirements

• Education or training in science, technology or engineering
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in aerospace, military, electronics, semiconductor, electro-mechanical assembly
• Demonstrated experience with quality systems (e.g. ISO9001, AS9100)
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience using common mechanical, electrical and optical inspection/measurement/test tools
• Problem solving skills with structured problem solving methods (e.g. 8D, A3, DMAIC)
• Proficient with data entry and analysis (e.g. Excel)
• High level of learning agility and willingness to learn
• Action oriented with the ability to take action from directions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Eligibility and ability to obtain a government security clearance
