About the position

The Quality Assurance position at the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) involves ensuring the quality and compliance of processes and products. The role is integral to maintaining SDL's AS9100D certified management system and includes responsibilities such as document management, process improvement, and internal audits. This on-site role is located in North Logan, UT, and emphasizes teamwork and problem-solving in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve various documents for processes and programs.
• Lead efforts to address and resolve nonconforming product and process issues.
• Identify, drive, and implement process improvements and support change management.
• Perform and lead internal audits.
• Support activities associated with SDL's AS9100D certified management system, including monitoring and measurement of processes and assemblies, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Requirements

• 1-10 years of quality-related work or educational experience.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
• Strong analytical skills to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
• Ability to facilitate and promote the use of problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
• Knowledge of the AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• BS in a physical science, engineering, and/or business operation field.
• Experience with software QA techniques or other software experience.
• Quality Assurance experience in a research and development environment, aerospace, defense, and/or comparable industry.
• IPC/J-STD certifications.
• NASA workmanship certifications.
