About the position
As a Quality Supervisor at Actalent, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and product quality within operations. This role involves leading a team to ensure compliance with industry regulations and food safety standards, while also overseeing and improving sanitation and quality processes. You will act as a liaison between production and management regarding quality issues, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of sanitation and quality staff to ensure compliance with industry regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Oversee and improve sanitation and quality processes.
- Act as a direct liaison between general production and management regarding quality issues.
- Prioritize tasks and work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Quality assurance experience
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Supervisory experience
- Quality control expertise
- Familiarity with sanitation chemicals, processes, and safe handling practices
- High level of confidentiality
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience with ERP computer systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Nice-to-haves
- Associates Degree in Supervisory Management, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least three years of progressively responsible lead or supervisory experience
- Sanitation and quality experience preferred
