About the position

The Quality Systems Analyst - Manufacturing position at Danfoss is a critical role that provides quality technical support to operations within the Value Streams. This position requires collaboration with the Quality team and various functions within the Value Stream to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing quality documentation, procedures, and processes, including but not limited to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), Root Cause Analysis, process capability analysis, and gage selection. This role is essential for driving continuous improvement in products, processes, services, deliveries, and overall quality. In this role, the Quality Systems Analyst must be adept at learning and applying new techniques and concepts to enhance quality outcomes. The ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), control plans, routers, and job instructions is crucial. Flexibility is also important, as the analyst may need to move between different work areas to meet customer delivery expectations and productivity goals. The responsibilities include analyzing and presenting quality inputs from production to improve product quality and documentation within the Value Stream. The analyst will coordinate Pre-Production Approval Packages for new and revised products and process changes, as well as respond to customer quality issues by proposing error-proofing solutions. Compliance with gage calibration and document management systems for quality documentation is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the analyst will support the internal audit process by addressing noncompliance issues in accordance with ISO/IATF 16949 standards. Leading and participating in teams or activities as requested by the VWT Quality Engineer or location Quality Manager is also part of the job. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is paramount, and adherence to Danfoss' Life-Saving Rules is required. The Quality Systems Analyst must be able to work efficiently and establish standards without constant supervision, contributing to a culture of safety and quality excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality technical support to operations Value Streams with direction from the Quality team.
  • Maintain and analyze quality documentation, procedures, and processes within the Value Stream.
  • Learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts, and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Read and understand blueprints, PFMEA, control plans, routers, job instructions, and measurement tools.
  • Analyze and present quality inputs of production to improve product quality and documentation.
  • Perform and coordinate Pre-Production Approval Packages for new and revised products and process changes.
  • Analyze and coordinate efforts in response to customer quality issues and propose error-proofing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with gage calibration and document management systems for quality documentation.
  • Support the internal audit process and resolve noncompliance issues in accordance with ISO/IATF 16949.
  • Lead and participate in teams or activities as requested by the VWT Quality Engineer or location Quality Manager.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment and abide by Danfoss' Life-Saving Rules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with the 5S process.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or GED
  • 2+ years of quality experience
  • Disciplined problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, fishbone, and statistical process control
  • Ability to read quality drawings, specifications (GD&T), process control plans, PFMEA's, routers, and job instructions
  • Proficient in AIAG core tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Outlook, and ERP systems MFG-PRO, SAP
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Certified Quality Technician (CQT) is preferred.
