About the position

The Quality Systems Manager at Warn Industries is responsible for the overall coordination, planning, maintenance, and registration of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards. This role involves working closely with team members, contractors, and consultants to ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the QMS, while also serving as the primary contact for external audits and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the QMS Management Representative interfacing with registrars, customers, and the Warn Management Team.
  • Prepare and update plans to ensure continued registration of the Quality Management System.
  • Tailor the QMS implementation to meet company needs and promote its positive impacts.
  • Act as a content expert for IATF 16949 and related processes, identifying training opportunities for staff.
  • Define processes and systems that satisfy Customer Specific Requirements based on customer specifications.
  • Manage the internal audit team, ensuring auditors are trained and qualified for the IATF 16949 audit process.
  • Close out audit findings and process nonconformances with effective corrective actions.
  • Build and develop relationships vital to the success of the Quality Management System.
  • Prepare and present periodic Management Reviews of the Quality System.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and present reports to stakeholders on project progress and solutions.
  • Provide direction to team members supporting IATF 16949 registration.
  • Ensure documented information is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Develop and monitor processes for legal and ethical compliance in the assigned area.
  • Work safely and without injury.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience managing Quality Systems in an IATF 16949 or Automotive QMS environment.
  • IATF 16949 Lead Auditor training preferred.
  • Experience as a QMS Management Representative in an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 environment.
  • Experience with project planning and budget management.
  • Strong experience working in cross-functional teams such as quality, manufacturing, engineering, and sourcing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong familiarity with the IATF 16949 Quality Management Standard.
