About the position

TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of technology solutions including engineered systems, radio frequency components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and quick-turn and technologically advanced printed circuit boards. The Engineering Technician supports the engineering and production teams with day-to-day manufacturing activity, including work instructions updates, clarifications, and resolving process issues that arise in production. This position will report into engineering and will require close collaboration with various engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with various departments to maintain and improve all processes of 3D Printing production and associated tasks.
  • Responsible for evaluation and maintenance of equipment and hardware maintenance.
  • Accountable for troubleshooting equipment (hardware, software) for production needs.
  • Provides technical and analytical support to engineering departments.
  • Provide direct assistance to the Production Floor for Assembly / Process / Technical issues and enhance documentation utilized by production floor associates.
  • Enhance work instructions with additional photos and graphics to improve quality and clarity of the instruction for production team.
  • Implementation of ECO/Manufacturing Change Notices.
  • Ensure production department(s) are in compliance with internal SOP's.
  • Participate in RCCA and 8D corrective actions.
  • Other various tasks as required to support manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Understanding of additive manufacturing processes.
  • Experience personal or professional with 3D Printers and related software.
  • Well organized.
  • Root Cause Analysis, while providing real-time solutions to day-to-day problems.
  • Hands-on approach to process and mechanical problems within production.
  • Ability to interpret customer documentation (Blueprints, drawings, bills of material, specifications).
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) and organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of MRP system a plus (Oracle).
  • Solidworks or similar 3D modeling software a plus.
  • Use of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment.
  • Cross-functional communication skills, partnering across engineering, quality, and operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical degree / experience a plus.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing related experience with mechanical build aptitude preferred.
  • Understanding of PCBA manufacturing, including SMT, Through Hole Solder, Press Fit, and Sub Assembly, Electrical test, selective solder.
  • Previous engineering experience within a PCBA environment a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Industry Standards.
