About the position
The Quality Technician position is essential for ensuring compliance with quality standards in an Aerospace Defense company. The role involves performing inspections, utilizing measuring devices, and reporting on the quality of fabricated parts. The technician will work independently in a production environment, focusing on both electrical and mechanical inspections while adhering to engineering specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) reporting in accordance with AS9102 standards.
- Work independently and methodically to meet deadlines in a high-volume inspection environment.
- Read and understand engineering drawings to verify compliance of fabricated parts.
- Maintain thorough attention to detail while performing inspections.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing regarding inspection results.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of inspection experience in a production environment.
- IPC-610 certification is a plus.
- Experience with measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software for reporting purposes.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience performing both electrical and mechanical inspections.
