About the position

The Quality Technician will collaborate with Quality Engineers and inspectors to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves performing in-process inspections, investigating non-conformant parts, and coaching machinists and engineers. A strong understanding of client specifications, particularly in the medical or aerospace sectors, is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process inspections from machinists.
  • Investigate non-conformant parts through the manufacturing process.
  • Coach and communicate with machinists, deburrers, engineers, and end clients.
  • Ensure quality of products from specific customers throughout the entire process.
  • Utilize hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges for inspections.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T from a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years' experience working with precision machining.
  • 3 years' experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • ISO 9001 experience.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • CMM experience preferred.
  • ERP experience preferred.
