About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team at Cryowest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes by performing various quality control and assurance tasks. This position is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our manufacturing processes and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. As a Clean Room Quality Control inspector, you will be responsible for testing the integrity of welds and ensuring overall part conformance to drawing dimensions. This role will specialize in stainless steel tube weldments and manifolds. You will follow all work area processes and procedures to inspect parts, ensuring that they meet the required specifications. Your responsibilities will include inspecting items using common measuring instruments such as calipers, height gauges, and protractors, conducting helium leak testing, entering data, and practicing good housekeeping in the cleanroom environment. This position reports directly to the QC Manager and plays a vital role in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization. You will participate in various quality assurance activities, including calibration of gauges and equipment, maintaining FAI/PPAP documentation, assisting the purchasing department with vendor quality control, and participating in the non-conformance deficiency management process. Additionally, you will engage in root-cause analysis, corrective actions, follow-up, and reporting, as well as participate in internal audits and all requirements of ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting completed parts, compare to requirements, and measure/document dimensional results
  • Participating in the calibration of gages and equipment
  • Create/maintain FAI/PPAP documentation (FAI's, Control Plans, etc.)
  • Assist the purchasing department with Vendor quality control
  • Participating in the non-conformance deficiency management process
  • Participate in Root-cause analysis, corrective actions, follow up and reporting
  • Fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Participate in Internal audits and all requirements of ISO 9001

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience preferred; clean room experience is a plus
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, apply dimensional requirements, and interpret drawing notes
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in inspecting and manipulating small, delicate items using various tools
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and practices
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office products
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain high productivity on repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
