About The Position

The Quality Technician at Boeing's Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division will serve as a Laser Tracker Operator, responsible for the measurement and qualification of flight articles, tooling, and movement within the factory. This role involves collaboration with programmers and machinists to ensure hardware meets drawing specifications, contributing to critical operations in a secure environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints with understanding of Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience working with laser trackers or a CMM (coordinate measurement machine).
• Experience using Spatial Analyzer (SA) or similar metrology software.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Agreement to have a background check performed if hired.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with large structures.
• Familiar with portable CMMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop measurement plans when the customer presents an issue or requirement.
• Work with production team and critical lift and move team for placement of hardware and tooling to support critical mating operations.
