About the position

A leading systematic hedge fund is seeking a talented Quant Developer to join their Model Implementation team, based in either New York or London. This role is crucial as the team is responsible for the development and maintenance of a distributed real-time trading system that computes signals and targets positions for various trading strategies. As a Quant Developer, you will be expected to wear multiple hats, collaborating closely with Researchers, Engineers, and Portfolio Managers to ensure the successful implementation of new strategies. You will take ownership of the design and production implementation of these strategies, leading efforts to identify and address platform bottlenecks, and expanding the system's capabilities to accommodate new asset classes. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Researchers, Engineers, and PMs to implement new trading strategies.
  • Take ownership of the design and production implementation of strategies.
  • Identify and tackle platform bottlenecks in the trading system.
  • Expand system capabilities to new asset classes.
  • Write automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Quant Developer or in a related position.
  • Strong coding experience in Python and C++, with outstanding debugging and analytical skills.
  • Solid experience with Python data science stack, including Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, etc.
  • Proven ability to write automated tests.
