About the position

The Quantitative Finance Analyst position within the Consumer Model Development & Operations Team at Bank of America focuses on developing and maintaining quantitative models and analytical tools for effective risk and capital management. The role emphasizes collaboration with various business lines to ensure models meet both internal and regulatory requirements, driving innovation and process improvement in model development and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain risk and capital models across Retail and GWIM product lines.
  • Architect, implement, maintain, and improve quantitative solutions on strategic GRA platforms.
  • Build best-in-class quantitative solutions for effective risk and capital management.
  • Drive forward the infrastructure to support GRA goals through code efficiencies and expanded quantitative capabilities.
  • Deliver concise, quantitative documentation to inform stakeholders and meet policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Math, Economics, Statistics, or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in statistics, data science, econometrics, and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Experience in statistical model estimation, implementation, and testing.
  • Quantitative documentation experience with LaTeX.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HDFS, HIVE, and Spark.
  • Ability to apply CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, Confluence, Pytest, Jenkins, and SonarQube) in model development process.
  • In-depth business knowledge of credit card and consumer vehicle lending.
  • Experience with CCAR and CECL.
