About the position

The Quantitative Model Analyst at U.S. Bank is responsible for creating, validating, testing, documenting, and implementing complex statistical models that support financial decision-making processes. This role involves communicating model results to stakeholders and producing various documentation deliverables, including reports and code documentation. The position requires a strong analytical background and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create and validate complex statistical models for financial decision-making.
  • Test and document statistical models and their usage.
  • Communicate model results and methodologies to stakeholders within the Bank.
  • Develop model documentation including presentations, reports, and business requirements.
  • Monitor model performance and produce related reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and three or more years of relevant experience, or MA/MS in a quantitative field with less than three years of related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of regression techniques and statistical models.
  • Experience with Python, SAS, or similar statistical packages.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative risk factors and risk management approaches.
  • Familiarity with regulatory rules and guidance related to financial modeling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across various timelines.
