About the position

The Quantitative Research Analyst Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta plays a crucial role in supporting the mission of promoting the stability and efficiency of the U.S. economy and financial system. This position involves advanced research activities, data analysis, and the development of publications that impact economic understanding and policy. The role requires a high level of expertise in statistical programming and economic analysis, contributing to both internal and external communications of the Bank.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level research support to economists and policy advisors through rigorous analysis of economic and financial data.
• Effectively communicates analysis to coworkers.
• Develops and manages economic and financial databases to advise economists and policy advisors.
• Performs advanced computer programming and initiates complex statistical analysis.
• Independently researches and writes articles for internal and external Bank publications.
• Responds to outside inquiries and supports the writing of official Bank speeches and presentations.
• Analyzes developments in the field of expertise and collaborates with economists and policy advisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
• Two to Five years of experience preferred
• Knowledge in Economics or Finance (preference for financial engineering)
• Strong Mathematics & Statistics background
• Advanced Statistical programming skills
• Advanced computer programming skills
• Proficient in advanced economics writing
