About the position

The Quantitative User Experience Researcher V position at INSPYR Solutions is a remote role that requires a highly skilled individual capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of quantitative survey design and analysis, enabling them to derive compelling insights and create written and visual narratives from data. This role is critical in linking insights to business outcomes, necessitating experience in a product-related environment. The researcher will be responsible for designing complex surveys that assess how users interact with products, employing appropriate sampling and weighting techniques. Additionally, they will manage relationships with internal and external partners and vendors to ensure that large-scale projects remain on track. The researcher will also be tasked with designing and executing quality control protocols for survey data during the fielding process. Analyzing large-scale survey and behavioral data sets is a key responsibility, as is the creation of charts, presentations, and notes that weave together various strands of data into compelling narratives. Collaboration is essential in this role, as the researcher will work closely with other researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, marketing managers, and engineers across different teams to ensure that insights lead to actionable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design highly complex surveys on how people interact with products, including sampling and weighting approaches
  • Manage internal and external partner/vendor relationships to keep all aspects of large-scale projects on track
  • Design and execute quality control protocols of survey data during fielding
  • Analyze large-scale survey and potentially behavioral data sets
  • Create charts, decks, and notes from analysis, weaving together multiple strands of data into compelling narratives
  • Collaborate closely with other researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, marketing managers, and engineers across several different teams to ensure that insights result in business outcomes

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative field, particularly related to human behavior (e.g. Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics, Economics, etc.)
  • Around 10 years of experience with at least 5+ years in a product/user research setting
  • Project management and vendor management skills and experience
  • Exceptional quantitative research and statistical skills, including survey design and sampling, weighting, descriptive statistics, and hypothesis testing
  • Fluency in R for statistical analysis is required (cannot substitute another programming language)
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Excellent data visualization skills
  • Ability to create clear and compelling insights and narratives from data
  • Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule, including quickly turning around study plans and reports
  • Ability to collaborate actively as part of a cross-functional project team

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with behavioral data analysis
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages beyond R and Python
