About the position

As a Quantitative UX Researcher at Baylor Scott & White Health, you will play a crucial role in enhancing user experiences across our digital products and services. Your primary responsibility will be Survey Management, which encompasses the design, implementation, and deployment of surveys aimed at collecting both generative and evaluative quantitative data. It is essential that the questions posed in these surveys are clear, unbiased, and aligned with our experience metrics, survey design formats, scales, standards, and research objectives. Your expertise will be pivotal in conceptualizing and executing user-focused solutions that elevate the overall experience for patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. In this role, you will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to lead quantitative research efforts, distilling complex findings into actionable customer insights. A proven track record in conducting impactful research and a deep understanding of user-centric design principles are critical for success. Your role will also involve planning and executing quantitative research studies to gather insights into user behavior, preferences, and interactions with both physical and digital products and services. You will collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative data using various tools, including surveys and analytics platforms, to inform product decisions. Applying statistical methods to analyze large datasets and derive meaningful insights will be essential in improving user experiences. Furthermore, you will communicate findings effectively through clear reports, data visualizations, and presentations to stakeholders, ensuring that insights are actionable and impactful.

Responsibilities

  • Handle internal stakeholder requests to evaluate primary business questions and desired output, developing quantitative analysis strategies to guide business decisions.
  • Oversee survey tool management and administration, including user management and data cleaning.
  • Lead the selection and implementation of survey question types, formats, and methodologies, ensuring consistency and alignment with transactional and experience metrics with data analysis needs.
  • Plan and execute quantitative research studies to gather insights into user behavior, preferences, and interactions with physical and digital products and services.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative data using tools such as surveys, analytics platforms, and behavioral data to inform product decisions.
  • Apply statistical methods and techniques to analyze large datasets and derive meaningful insights that contribute to improving user experiences.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively through clear and compelling reports, data visualizations, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with qualitative UX researchers, UX designers, product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to integrate research findings into the product development process.
  • Stay updated on current industry trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies in quantitative UX research to continually improve research processes, standardization and methodologies.
  • Lead collaboration across teams to define survey standards, ensure data compliance, and establish protocols for data handling and storage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Applied Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a quantitative UX researcher, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful research projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with statistical analysis software and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey research findings.
