About the position

The Quantum Algorithms Researcher will focus on advancing the field of quantum computing through theoretical research. This role involves developing new methods and insights that contribute to the quantum roadmap, with a focus on areas such as quantum error correction, fault-tolerant algorithms, and quantum simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Advance the field of quantum computing by developing new methods and insights.
  • Shape and execute on the quantum roadmap.
  • Conduct research in areas including quantum error correction, near-term and fault-tolerant algorithms, information theory, compilation, quantum simulation, and quantum-centric supercomputing.

Requirements

  • Experience in an academic graduate program related to quantum computing, such as error correction, information theory, fault-tolerant algorithms, or compilation.
  • Demonstrated independent theoretical research.
  • Strong publication record in high-impact journals or top conference proceedings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Successful record of collaborative work.
  • Ability to communicate technical results effectively.
  • Programming experience in core & scientific languages (e.g., Python, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib) and Qiskit.
  • Familiarity with Git and/or GitHub.
