As a Quantum Computing Research Scientist at Google, you will engage in cutting-edge research aimed at advancing quantum computing technologies. Responsibilities
- Study quantum error correction schemes using theory and simulation software.
- Develop theory to validate and benchmark operations on logical qubits.
- Study phases of matter and their connection to quantum fault tolerance.
- Present research findings in technical talks and journal publications.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Physics, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with research agendas across multiple teams or projects.
- Experience working on Quantum Computing.
- One or more scientific publication submissions for conferences, journals, or public repositories.
Nice-to-haves
- 4 years of experience leading multiple research efforts and influencing research direction.
- Experience with research in quantum computing, physics, or quantum error correction.
