This role primarily involves the safe transportation of crushed rock from the quarry loadout building to the plant unload building using a supplied semi-truck and belly dump trailer. The operator will be responsible for ensuring that the transportation process is conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations and operational protocols. The round-trip distance from the quarry to the plant is approximately 4 miles, and the operator will also be expected to operate heavy mining mobile equipment when rock haulage is not in operation. In addition to the primary responsibilities of transporting materials, the operator must maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and demonstrate a good work ethic, acceptable job performance, and predictable attendance. The position requires a willingness to learn equipment operation and to follow all plant, department, and job safety rules. Operators will also need to evaluate mechanical problems and communicate effectively with the maintenance crew, providing routine operating adjustments to equipment as directed. Completing all required MSHA and OSHA training is essential, as is understanding the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other operational requirements. Responsibilities
