About the position

The CAD Designer at Munters will play a crucial role in developing advanced Data Center Cooling Products. This position involves interpreting job requirements and creating CAD models that align with customer needs for performance, cost, and maintainability. The designer will support new product development, participate in cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Generate CAD models, drawings, parts lists, and assembly drawings for Munters products.
• Support new product development with conceptual designs and layouts as needed.
• Develop and maintain parts lists for new products.
• Participate in Kaizan and other cross-functional teams to improve designs.
• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction activities through the ECO process.
• Provide engineering expertise and/or support to other departments as needed.
• Assist in prototype builds to understand and improve the designs.

Requirements

• 3D CAD experience
• Ability to work on large scale projects and provide comprehensive documentation
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to successfully plan work to meet deadlines

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with designing sheet metal, piping, electrical, and assemblies
• Familiarity with HVAC components
• Design for manufacturing (DFM)
• Experience with Solidworks
• 3-5 years' industry experience with an Associate's degree or equivalent experience
