About the position

The position involves providing technical support for production operations at Integer, a global organization specializing in innovative medical technologies and niche batteries. The role focuses on enhancing production efficiency, ensuring quality, and implementing process improvements while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The engineer will work closely with production associates, lead projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing production operations as the primary technical support resource for production lines.
  • Work directly with production associates to resolve technical issues during production operations.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in major projects.
  • Review test procedures and plans prior to implementation and conduct failure analysis on products, processes, and materials.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, making minor adaptations as needed.
  • Investigate, develop, and implement new process technologies of moderate scope.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork and documentation for all projects undertaken.
  • Develop and implement process and equipment solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documents and digital operations systems, including engineering drawings and process work instructions.
  • Lead equipment qualification and process validation tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate designs for manufacturability and cost reduction.
  • Establish and execute corrective and preventative action plans for quality or operational concerns.
  • Monitor performance of equipment and correct issues that produce non-conforming products or quality issues.
  • Interface with Quality and R&D to integrate new products or processes.
  • Support the manufacturing site on design or process-related changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Solid technical aptitude and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Functional understanding of Integer's Quality Management Systems.
  • Competency in both written and oral communications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and Quality Management Systems.
