About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R D Engineer II to join our innovative team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new products and technologies that align with our company's goals. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Actively engage in project teams, contributing to product design and development, material testing, specifications preparation, report writing, and process/test documentation.
- Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments to evaluate product performance.
- Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures as needed for testing and production.
- Identify and resolve issues related to new products or processes concerning design, materials, or methods.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Product Development Process (PDP) and Technical Product Development (TPD) systems by delivering high-quality outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 2 to 4 years in an engineering role, preferably within the medical device industry or a regulated environment.
- Experience in testing methodologies, including Design Verification Testing.
