About the position

The R D Engineer, Process position at PsiQuantum focuses on the fabrication of components for quantum computing systems. The role involves working closely with external fabrication facilities to process wafers and coupons through various cleanroom processes, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency in production. The engineer will also be responsible for data analysis, documentation, and communication with external partners to resolve process challenges and improve production metrics.

Responsibilities

• Process wafers/coupons in various cleanroom processes, including lithography, etch, thin film deposition, metallization, clean, and metrology at an external fab.
• Conduct data analysis, prepare presentations, and document your work.
• Provide hands-on support in the fabrication facility as needed.
• Coordinate timely resolution of process challenges in the fab.
• Drive weekly wafer output and shipment.
• Verify equipment start up & equipment qualification.
• Work with external fab to improve number of turns and increase output.
• Actively track wafers in progress and report on their status.

Requirements

• B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D in Physical Sciences or Engineering.
• 3+ years of R D experience with process development with emphasis on process integration.
• Proficient with JMP or similar data analysis tool.
• Effective communication and detailed documentation.
