About the position

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to R D projects with limited supervision.
  • Perform tasks in mechanics, electronics, thermal, and software areas, including concept building, requirements gathering, design, implementation, integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Understand and apply applicable processes, standards, guidelines, and requirements.
  • Drive the achievement of assigned targets related to quality, time, scope, and cost, while addressing risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Power, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in product development and solutions in electrical distributions.
  • Experience in manufacturing implementation of new and modified designs.
  • Expertise in product and solution level testing, with experience working with global test labs and certification agencies.
  • Experience with design and product documentation, preferably using Creo and Windchill.
  • Proven ability to analyze test data and solve design issues.
  • Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in energy-efficient UPS solutions.
  • Familiarity with ABB Ability™ Energy Manager.
