About the position
The R&D Engineer position at Actalent involves transforming design concepts into physical products while ensuring their functionality and efficiency. The role requires collaboration with various departments and hands-on work in the PD Lab for product testing and performance evaluation. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical design skills and advanced analytical abilities, contributing to innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Transform design concepts into physical objects.
- Collaborate with various departments including Sales and Purchasing.
- Conduct market research and product redesign.
- Oversee production processes and ensure product efficiency.
- Present product designs to management and stakeholders.
- Test proof of concept and perform various product performance testing.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience as an R&D engineer preferred.
- Advanced analytical and mathematical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design.
- Proficient with computer design software including SolidWorks, CAD, and 3D printing.
- Experience with project management principles.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written).
- Familiar with Stage Gate Process.
Nice-to-haves
- Marketing and design experience preferred.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
