About the position

The R&D Engineering Manager will lead the design and development of custom doors and windows for luxury homes. This role involves overseeing product innovation, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while leveraging expertise in AutoCAD and fenestration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products in accordance with company standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed design specifications and drawings.
• Conduct experiments and tests to validate product performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing product lines.
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform product development.
• Support patent submissions and manage intellectual property related to new innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years experience as an R&D Engineer in a relevant industry, being hands-on with the entire process from creation to launch.
• Experience leading a team of 3+ engineers.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor/Autodesk, and Microsoft Office.
• Metal working experience.
• Window experience.
• Experience in fenestration and knowledge of patent processes is a huge plus!
