About the position

The R&D Laboratory Technician at Dymax is responsible for developing new products that contribute to the company's growth by preparing light-curable formulations and conducting physical property and analytical tests under the guidance of chemists. This role requires collaboration with chemists on new product development projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining detailed records of formulation trials and test results.

Responsibilities

• Prepare light-curable formulations and perform physical property tests under the guidance of R&D Chemists.
• Work with chemists on new product development projects to meet customer needs and timelines.
• Validate the performance of formulated products through physical property tests.
• Conduct analytical tests using testing instrumentation such as FTIR Spectrophotometers and Thermal Analysis Instruments.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks to keep records of formulation trials and test results.
• Monitor and replenish chemical and laboratory supplies as needed to enable project completion.
• Ensure compliance with Dymax and industry safety standards, reporting any safety concerns promptly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of position-related experience.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and analytical skills.
• Experience in UV-curing adhesives/coatings.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with FTIR Spectrophotometers and Thermal Analysis Instruments.
• Strong observation skills and ability to use technology effectively.
